Motivation

Our customers tell the world about our instruments, praising their quality in writing and by word of mouth. Numerous renowned pianists, composers, and conductors bear witness to the fact that we are on the right path, and they motivate us to continue on our journey for many years to come. We believe in fostering lateral thinkers at our company, because they are the free spirits who enter into dialog with the artists, discovering fresh sources of inspiration for instrument-making again and again. Each of our instruments is a work of painstaking craftsmanship, made by hand to our own exacting standards of quality.

Vision

Our focus is always on the human aspect of our work, because our people make our vision a reality. They are responsible for the quality of our instruments and invest their whole hearts into doing justice to our legacy. We know our roots: Germany, and Saxony in particular, has always been home to great musicians and composers. It is an enormous honor, and it is one of the reasons why we put all our energy into our AUGUST FÖRSTER grand pianos and upright pianos. The path we’ve chosen is challenging, but we have faith that it is the right one – and that we will be successful for many years to come. Our location is also our philosophy: We are at home in Löbau, Saxony in Germany. We always have been, and always will be. Saxony: the place where the first “fortepiano” was built and popularized.
